Maragon Early Learning Centre

Overview

Fleetwood was contracted to design and construct the Maragon Early Learning Centre in Baldivis, WA as part of a full turnkey insitu project. The building is part of a chain of high quality learning centre facilities that is now able to cater to the local community and house over 70 kids at any one time. In an interesting twist, the greenfield site and project scope saw the team take an unconventional approach delivering all aspects of the project from the civils to the structure itself all onsite in a first for Fleetwood.

Moving away from our traditional methods and delivering an exceptional building was a huge stepping stone for future major works projects that require the flexibility to build onsite as well as prefabricate offsite. With high internal ceilings and multiple components of the façade posing a challenge to prefabricating offsite, the solution asked for a traditional on site build methodology to deliver the facility successfully.

The collaborative approach between all stakeholders ensured the objective of a fully functional, modern and high quality Early Learning Centre was delivered. The successful delivery of the project allowed the franchise to be sold to a major Australian Childcare provider ‘Busy Bees Australia’, with the facility adding to their national presence specifically within Perth, Western Australia as it looked to consolidate its national presence with several other childcare facilities across the country.
