Justice Infrastructure Modular Cell Program

Overview

Fleetwood Australia was engaged to collaboratively design a modular cell to precisely match the NSW Corrections optimum internal layout for Maximum Security Single and Double Prison Cells.

Solution

Fleetwood Australia was contracted to manufacture 692 modular cells, equating to 920 new beds for the Prison
Bed Capacity Program. Fleetwood manufactured the cells at a rate of 15 cells per week that included concrete floors with the highest fire rating standards, beds, desks, shelves, toilet, shower and a convex mirror with all internal finishes completed and all services installed and
taken back to the service risers ready for connection on site. The modular cells were then delivered and installed at Junee, Cessnock, Mid North Coast and Metropolitan Remand Reception Centre Correctional Facilities in NSW.
