Estella Public School

Overview

Fleetwood Australia partnered with Hansen Yuncken to design and construct three new public schools for the Schools Infrastructure New South Wales (SINSW) major school building program using volumetric Design for Manufactured Assembly (DfMA). The third of the new ‘High Quality Classroom Model Package 2’ was the Estella Public School, a double-storey permanent modular facility spanning 1,693sqm in Wagga Wagga. The solution consisted of 24 building modules and 12 roof modules to create 16 new flexible learning spaces over two storeys. The new facility is now able to cater for 480 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Solution

• Collaboration was the key success factor, working closely with D&C Contractor (Hansen Yunken), SINSW, the architect firm (PPA) and engineers during the ECI and Construction Phase
• Compliance with EFSG standards
• Volumetric DfMA permanent modular offsite construction achieving NSW Government Design Excellence Standard
