Australian Broadcasting Facilities

Overview

Fleetwood were contracted by Coates Hire for the design and manufacture of the two-storey Tennis Australia broadcasting facility. With a critical project timeline, the project had to be finished for the start of the broadcast of the 2015 Australian Open. Fleetwood revised the different production lines to dramatically improve the speed of construction in order to deliver 85 modules (3,060 square metres) of building within a truncated timeline. The building also had to meet specific structural requirements so it could be re-used each year for the following five years. Specific internal requirements were also necessary in light of broadcasting equipment.

Solution

The output was outstanding, and MBS delivered 3,060m2 of buildings in 85 modules within the short program timeline.
