Fleetwood Awarded Rio Tinto $30M Ti Tree Camp Upgrade Project

Fleetwood is pleased to announce they have recently been awarded a $30m camp expansion and upgrade contract by Pilbara Iron Company (Services) Pty Ltd (Rio Tinto).

The contract scope includes supply, installation, refurbishment upgrades and relocation of buildings at Rio Tinto’s Ti Tree Rail Camp, located 170 kilometres south east of Karratha and 100 kilometres north of Tom Price.

The Ti Tree Rail camp is located 170km south of Karratha on the Tom Price mainline.

The expanded rail camp will support a peak workforce of more than 300 people completing future rail maintenance and upgrade works on the Tom Price to Cape Lambert rail line.

The new project is scheduled to commence immediately and is due for completion in November 2021.

During the tender process, Fleetwood also met the Rio Tinto Category 3 supplier requirements, which allows Fleetwood to perform works on site as the primary contractor across other potential projects.
